We’d like to send out a friendly reminder to make sure your iRacing spotter is password protected. This simple step goes a long way in protecting you, your setups, and the entire RYCO community. Without a password, anyone can join your spotter session—meaning they could save or steal your setup, change your pit stop settings without your knowledge, or even disrupt your race.
Did you know it only takes a moment to secure your spotter? All you need to do is head into your iRacing settings and set a password on your spotter account. Once that’s done, only the teammates you share the password with can join. You also have the option to lock the spotter down completely, so that nobody can access it if that’s your preference.
Taking this precaution not only safeguards our work and your racing experience but also helps ensure fairness and respect within the community. A few clicks today can prevent a lot of frustration tomorrow—so double-check your spotter settings and keep your race protected.
